Governor Dayton Signs Sixteen Bills into Law

ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed sixteen bills into law.
Chapter 97, HF 2718: This bill allows the City of Elk River to increase the membership of its public utilities commission.
Chapter 98, HF 2927: This bill allows eligible businesses to place “specific service” signs on two trunk highways.
Chapter 99, SF 2539: This bill recodifies nursing facility rates language into a new chapter.
Chapter 100, SF 2869: This bill makes tax debt covered under debt settlement services regulation.
Chapter 101, SF 2896: This bill requires training on fetal alcohol spectrum disorders for child foster care providers.
Chapter 102, SF 2986: This bill gives cities the same powers as a town to regulate fences.
Chapter 103, SF 107: This bill requires hospitals to give patients an opportunity to designate a caregiver to provide aftercare assistance once the patient leaves the hospital.
Chapter 104, SF 3272: This bill provides incentives for nutrient wastewater treatment technology.
Chapter 105, SF 2430: This bill makes technical corrections to the per diem for medical assistance median total care-related costs.
Chapter 106, SF 2498: This bill modifies the screening requirements for co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders.
Chapter 107, HF 2954: This bill regulates unfair practices in motor vehicle distribution.
Chapter 108, HF 2870: This bill allows counties to continue participating in the community corrections subsidy program.
Chapter 109, HF 71: This bill creates an enhanced penalty for impaired criminal vehicular homicide, when one occurs within ten years of a qualified prior driving offense.
Chapter 110, HF 2478: This bill adopts the recommendations of the Workers' Compensation Advisory Council.
Chapter 111, SF 2555: This bill regulates the zoning of temporary family health care dwellings.
Chapter 112, SF 2426: This bill excludes mental health treatment from inmate co-payments.
