Longtime public servant to retire July 1
St. Paul, MN - After more than 40 years of service to the State of Minnesota, Peter Wattson today announced his retirement, effective July 1. Wattson currently serves as General Counsel to Governor Mark Dayton, and previously served in the Minnesota Senate, most recently as Secretary of the Senate.
"Peter has had a very distinguished and highly respected career in public service, and my office has been the beneficiary of his vast experience and deep knowledge of the legislative process," said Governor Dayton. "We are grateful for his invaluable contributions to the transition and first months of my administration, and we wish him the best in his retirement."
