Saint Paul - Governor Tim Pawlenty today issued Executive Order 10-04 declaring a State of Emergency in Big Stone, Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chippewa, Clay, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Kittson, Lac Qui Parle, Le Sueur, Lyon, Marshall, Nicollet, Norman, Polk, Ramsey, Redwood, Renville, Scott, Sibley, Swift, Traverse, Washington, Wilkin, Wright, and Yellow Medicine to protect property and infrastructure from damage due to flooding.

GOVERNOR PAWLENTY SIGNS EMERGENCY EXECUTIVE ORDER LIFTING SEASONAL LOAD WEIGHT LIMITS FOR CERTAIN MOTOR CARRIERS AND DRIVERS OPERATING IN MINNESOTA -- March 8, 2010
Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed an emergency executive order lifting the seasonal weight limits for certain motor carriers and drivers operating in Minnesota. Currently, many vehicles used to transport heating fuel exceed the weight permitted under seasonal load restrictions even when empty and businesses and homeowners may be at risk of running out of necessary heating fuels if it cannot be delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
