Saint Paul – Today, Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Eric Magnuson submitted a letter of resignation to Governor Tim Pawlenty effective June 30, 2010. Magnuson has served as Chief Justice since June 1, 2008.

The following is a statement from Governor Tim Pawlenty regarding the retirement of Chief Justice Eric Magnuson:

“Leading Minnesota’s judicial system and heading our highest court is an extremely important and tough job. Chief Justice Magnuson has served in this role over the past two years with great diligence, thoughtfulness, and fairness. Minnesota thanks him for his service.”
