GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS REID TO THE BOARD OF OP

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Marlene Reid to the Board of Optometry. 

Reid, of St. Paul, is retired.  She served as a public member of the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy from 1990 to 2002.  Reid is appointed to a public member position on the Board and will serve a four-year term which ends January 5, 2009.  Reid replaces Orinne Jones on the Board. 

The Board of Optometry is responsible for licensing and disciplining optometrists.  The Board is made up of seven members appointed by the Governor.
