GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS SUSAN WARD TO THE BOARD

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Susan Ward to the Board of Psychology.

Susan Ward, of New Brighton, is employed at American Family Insurance.  Her public service career includes serving as Executive Aide to the Director/Account Officer for the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance from 1995 to 2000.  Ward also served in the Office of Governor Arne Carlson as Administrative Assistant/Executive Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor from 1991 to 1995.  Ward served as a public member of the Minnesota Board of Nursing from 1996 to 2005.  She is a current public board member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Ward is appointed to a board position for a public member and will serve a four-year term which ends January 5, 2009.  She replaces Marcia Farinacci on the board.

The Board of Psychology is responsible for licensing and disciplining psychologists.  The Board is made up of 11 members appointed by the Governor.
