Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty and First Lady Mary Pawlenty announced the Governor’s Residence will again open to the public for summer tours beginning Tuesday, June 2, and continuing throughout June, July, and August, on the first three Tuesdays of each month.
“The Governor’s Residence was graciously donated to the state by Olivia Irvine Dodge and Clotilde Irvine Moles and belongs to the people of Minnesota,” Governor Pawlenty said. “The First Lady and I invite all Minnesotans to visit this marvelous place.”
The Governor’s Residence is at 1006 Summit Avenue, Saint Paul. Tours are open to the public. Those with a group of 15 or more should call (651) 297-2161 to make a reservation. Tours run from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., are free of charge, and are guided by the Docents of the Minnesota Historical Society Women’s Organization. A photo ID is required for admittance.
