Goal: Protect the safety of the food supply from farm to consumer
     Percentage of food establishments producing fully cooked, ready-to-eat products that have an updated and MDA-approved food safety plan
     Level of preparedness/response to an agro-terrorism incident in cooperation with the Board of Animal Health, Department of Health, Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management
     Compliance with mad cow disease (bovine spongiform encephalopathy, BSE) regulations
Goal: Promote environmentally friendly agricultural practices
    Number of environmentally friendly practices funded under the Agricultural Best Management Practices (AgBMP) loan program
    Percentage of private wells meeting nitrate-nitrogen health standard
    Number of gypsy moth detections in Minnesota
 
Goal: Improve marketability of Minnesota’s agricultural products
    Average somatic cell count on Minnesota’s dairy farms
    In-state biodiesel production capacity
    Growth in Minnesota's certified organic acres
