Agenda:

  • HF3665 (Pinto) Out-of-home placement plan requirements modified to include early childhood education and child care programs, and agencies and guardians ad litem required to provide information on early childhood education and child care programs for children in foster care.

  • HF3002 (Hicks) - Eligibility requirements for foster care benefits after age 18 modified to include children for whom permanent legal and physical custody is transferred to a relative after age ten.
    ** HF3002 (Hicks) will be amended with the DE2 and will replace HF4217 (Hicks) on the agenda

  • HF4125 (Agbaje) Minnesota African American Family Preservation and Child Welfare Disproportionality Act modified, and money appropriated.

  • Bill Removed: HF4174 (Hanson) Parent support outreach program funding provided, and money appropriated.

TESTIMONY AND MATERIALS SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Individuals wishing to testify or submit written testimony for the hearing must email the committee administrator by 8:00 AM on the day of the hearing. Handouts must be in PDF format with OCR capability. In-person testimony may be limited due to committee time constraints.

Medical assistance allowed to be paid for any person receiving foster care benefits past 18 years of age, terminology and definitions modified, and eligibility criteria and requirements related to extended foster care modified.
